About the idatabase name

The idatabase name reflects the core business and primary focus of Michael Richard's experience, expertise, knowledge and skills - individualised database solutions developed using the FileMaker Go, FileMaker Pro, FileMaker Server and FileMaker Web Direct software applications.

In 1998, Apple Inc. released the iMac computer. The translucent Bondi blue colour based on the famous Bondi Beach and futuristic curvy design abolished rectangular beige box computer design and cemented the i-prefix naming convention into the human vernacular.

In 1999, Michael Richards ventured into self-employment and started his first business named itraining in Darwin, NT, Australia. The primary focus of this business was individualised computer software training, hence the focus on training.

In 2002, Michael Richards relocated to Brisbane, QLD, Australia and converted itraining to a Pty. Ltd. company named itraining Pty Ltd. The primary focus of this company was individualised computer software trainingand sub-contracting as a computer trainer to commercial computer training companies located in the Brisbane CBD and Gold Coast business centres.

Since 2012, the core business of itraining Pty Ltd moved away from computer training to focus on database design and development using the FileMaker inc. software applications. The new idatabase name reflects the core business and primary focus of Michael Richard's skills and knowledge.
